Alison here, Gloria's daughter, writing a post on all the fabulous vintage enamel flower brooches I've come across, and brought into the store this week.
I am sharing some of my ideas on pairing these statement pieces with vintage necklaces. I hope you find my ideas to be motivating and unique. I encourage you to bring in your own necklaces to pair with one of these awesome brooches, or I can help you create that fun look from the inventory we have in the shop.
When I pair a brooch to a beaded necklace, I look for an area where there is a little "give" between the beads to slip the pin and clasp. Never force the brooch to close or you may end up breaking the necklace and the brooch.
Shown above, a 1960's 3-inch tan and brown brooch paired with a vintage tan 5 strand necklace. I also have matching earrings to the necklace for sale.
Same brooch paired with a 3-strand vintage multi-colored brown necklace. Matching wrap bracelet also available.
Here is a nice peach enamel brooch with orange rhinestone center, paired with a double strand orange/brown marbelized beaded necklace.

Just a quick photo of the depression-era china cabinet mentioned last week. Dad finished it last evening with its clear glass pulls and took it over to the shoppe just before closing. It sold for $295 at just before noon today. Honestly, when you are in one of those nice little stores with unique items, if you like it and can use it, consider buying it. These things move even faster than we thought! sold
